How To Deal With Runners Knee

by Jessica P

Experiencing symptoms of runners knee? Let me tell you my story. I am a young, healthy individual who enjoys outdoor activities like jogging, running, and marathons. Running and similar activities lets me relax and clear my head. So, I just about went crazy when I developed Runner's Knee.

I almost always run every day, and sometimes I'll compete or run marathons. But then last summer, a terrible pain flared up in my right knee. The doc told me about the condition and how I would need to stop running for a while. I almost slapped him.

There are joints in your knee that glide smoothly against cartilage in the knee itself. But when you get Runner's Knee, the joints rub up against the knee and causes terrible pain. This is what I was experiencing and let me tell you, it's not fun.

I got myself a book, a bottle of Vicodin, and tried to get friendly with my couch. This absolutely drove me insane! I wanted to get up and run, but my Runner's Knee wasn't going to let me do that for a while.

Here is what I discovered to keep myself sane. There are only so many things you can purchase from infomercials before you realize that none of them work! There is, in fact, a reality show for every single situation you could ever think of. It is not possible to read the encyclopedia.

Heating pads are proof that God loves us and wants to heal everybody. There's still nothing to watch, no matter how many thousands of channels you have. But my knee got better, and now I'm up and running again. I can only describe those few weeks in my life as 'Hell Week!' Well, time to go for a run! Speak to you soon.
