Antiaging Skin Care: Switching Over to Natural Skin Care Products

by Judy Aulin

Aging skin can benefit greatly from natural skin care, but before putting it on your skin you should read the product labels, even if the box reads "natural" product, take your time to find out what it's really made of. Because a product may be made with all natural ingredients and still contain ingredients that cause irritation and allergic reactions.

Before deciding to change over to natural skin care products, make sure that your current skin care routine is the right one for you. By cleansing, toning/exfoliating, and moisturizing regularly you can help prevent premature aging. And don't forget to include a good sunscreen lotion as part of your basic skin care routine.

Every year we hear about new, innovative ingredients that can help keep our skin young. However, the following ingredients are a mainstay in anti aging creams and skin care products for maturing skin. So, it's a good idea to purchase products that include them.

Combat Aging with These Ingredients

You many not consider the following ingredients to be "natural", but they are all derived from natural products. Natural skin care products made with these ingredients have shown to be highly effective, that is why it is advisable that you look for products that contain one or more of these ingredients.

AHAs (Alpha-hydroxy Acids)

AHAs are derived from natural products and used, primarily, for their exfoliating properties. They are also capable of helping tighten skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines. Look for products that contain the following AHAs: glycolic acid, lactic acid, tartaric acid, malic acid and citric acid.

Vitamin A

When a product contains Vitamin A you may find that the ingredient list reads retinol, Tretinoin and Retinyl Pamitate. These are the names of Vitamin A derivatives. They are responsible for reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and dark spots.

Since all forms of Vitamin A can lead to irritation it is important that you make sure to be extra generous with your moisturizer or look for products with a lower concentration of Vitamin A. This warning is especially true for people with sensitive or dry skin. Retinyl Palmitate may provide better results and less irritation, but don't forget to apply sunscreen over any product that contains Vitamin A.

Vitamin C

In skin care products, Vitamin C is known as ascorbic acid. This ingredient is a potent antioxidant that is used to treat age spots as well as wrinkles and dull skin. Vitamin C and its derivatives have also been known to help boost the production of collagen.

Hyaluronic Acid

This ingredient is a vital part of any skin care product because it can help keep skin moisturized. Each molecule of hyaluronic acid can hold up to 1000 times its weight in water, which in lay terms means smoother, plumper and younger looking skin.

Coenzyme Q 10

This antioxidant is an ingredient that can help improve the production of collagen and also help repair skin damage.

A natural wrinkles cream, like BIOSKINREJUVENATION, can help you deal with sun damage, hyperpigmentation and other problems related to premature aging. BIOSKINREJUVENATION is made with a revolutionary natural ingredient - snail serum. This natural ingredient is highly effective yet gentle enough that it can be used to help treat aging and mature skin.
